Green Rocca Al Mare
Rocca al Mare Shopping Centre is the first trading company in Estonia that has set itself the goal of using reproducible energy sources and sticking to a "green" way of thinking. Green energy sign indicates that all electricity consumed within the shopping centre is from reproducible energy sources.
On 9 February 2010, the Rocca al Mare Shopping Centre was officially awarded with the international LEED Green Building certificate. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is a recognised international rating system which rewards efforts in six major areas: sustainable development and construction, water conservation, efficient energy consumption, choice of materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, innovation and design. Rocca al Mare is the first LEED-certified company in the Baltic countries.
